OUR STORY
In 1993, Syrian tailor Jack Karanta arrived in Canada with his wife and six children, carrying with him a legacy of craftsmanship that began in Damascus in 1969. With a steadfast vision and devotion to his art, he established a new atelier — filling it with fine textiles, sewing machines, and the quiet rhythm of creation. What began as a humble workshop soon evolved into a sanctuary of bespoke tailoring, where tradition, precision, and design were passed from father to son.
Following in his father’s footsteps, Antoine Karanta pursued his formal training in Italy, earning his Master Tailor and Design diploma and perfecting the artistry of made-to-measure craftsmanship. Today, he continues to honor his father’s legacy, blending time-honored techniques with a refined modern vision that defines the spirit of Atelier Karanta.
